The School of Opulence Awarded Historic TGD Wellness Grant to Expand Vital Services in South East Chicago. The School of Opulence is proud to announce that it has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious TGD Wellness Grant, awarded by the Illinois Department of Human Services in partnership with the Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago. This historic grant will significantly enhance the organization's capacity to provide crucial services to the South Shore, South East corridor of Chicago. With this funding, The School of Opulence will introduce several innovative programs designed to meet the diverse needs of the LGBTQIA+ community. These new services include: 1. **Avant Garde Art Therapy**: A unique therapeutic approach that utilizes creative expression to support mental health and emotional well-being. 2. **House of Harm Reduction**: A safe space offering essential resources and education to reduce the risks associated with substance use. 3. **Legal Services**: Providing access to legal assistance for individuals facing a variety of legal challenges. 4. **Mental Health Counseling Services**: Professional counseling support for mental health issues, ensuring comprehensive care. Additionally, The School of Opulence is honored to be the first organization to receive funding to provide gender-affirming care in Chicago's South Shore South East corridor. This groundbreaking initiative will ensure that transgender and gender-diverse individuals have access to the affirming and supportive healthcare services they need. In addition to these new offerings, The School of Opulence will continue to deliver its well-regarded wrap-around support services, which address the holistic needs of individuals and families in the community.
