Keith Cotton Esq.- Chairman Keith Cotton currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the School of Opulence, bringing a wealth of experience in business management and corporate leadership. With over a year in his current role—and a broader history of board leadership across multiple nonprofit organizations—Keith is a trusted advocate for equity, inclusion, and strategic community-building. His prior service includes board roles with organizations focused on LGBTQIA+ rights, Black male empowerment, and equal opportunity initiatives. A dynamic leader, Keith is known for being a bridge-builder within large institutions, giving voice to often underrepresented communities while aligning stakeholders toward impactful change. Keith’s commitment to the School of Opulence stems from a deep belief in its mission: to create access, visibility, and spaces where individuals can both have a seat at the table and build new ones. His vision is rooted in practical action—offering opportunities and networks that empower the community from within. He holds a Juris Doctor, a Master’s in Criminal Justice, and an MBA with a focus in Marketing. Outside of his professional and board commitments, Keith enjoys traveling, quality time with family, and exploring new ventures with curiosity and an open heart.

Dr. Dan’iel Kendricks- Vice Chair(she/her) Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, Dr. Dan’iel Kendricks is an esteemed leader in social justice and public health, currently serving as the Chief Program Officer at the Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago (PHIMC). With a career spanning over 20 years… Dr. Kendricks is a pivotal force in advancing PHIMC’s public health initiatives. Her prior role as Senior Vice President of Programs at Ignite, a Chicago-based non-profit organization supporting youth and emerging adults experiencing homelessness and housing instability, showcases her commitment to uplifting marginalized communities through innovative leadership and program development. Holding an EdD in Organizational Leadership from National Louis University, Dr. Kendricks’ research explores the relationship between Black Chicago youth and Chicago Drill Music culture. She also possesses a Master of Arts in Inner City Studies Education from Northeastern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in Administration of Justice from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Dr. Kendricks’ diverse expertise in community engagement, youth development, and public health underscores her comprehensive approach to social justice and community empowerment. Dr. Kendricks sits on the Board of Directors of the Love, Unity & Values (L.U.V.) Institute, a non-profit that supports young adults ages 16-24 in Chicago’s under-resourced communities through career development, entrepreneurship, and professional development programming. Dr. Kendricks is featured in the 2024 documentary “As We Speak,” based on the book “Rap on Trial” which examines the implications of Rap lyrics in legal contexts.

Dominic Moog- Board Secretary Dom Moog, MD (they/them) is a resident physician at UCLA Medical Center training in psychiatry and a transfeminine individual of nonbinary experience. Dom hails from the Twin Cities of Minnesota and attended the University of Southern California, where they received their Bachelor of Arts in Gender and Sexuality Studies before completing medical school at Washington University in St. Louis. This educational background and a lifetime of personal experiences inspire their interest in psychiatry with emphases on marginalized peoples, economic justice, substance use disorders, and community building as a pillar of psychiatric wellness work. Dom co-founded The Shades Project St. Louis in 2022, a grassroots non-profit organization focused on the intersections of health, community, and art, and serves as Secretary and Executive Board Member at the School of Opulence in Chicago. Dom is also a singer and an avid participant and budding leader in the queer Ballroom community.

Amariah Hardwick, Board Treasurer Amariah Hardwick is a dynamic advocate, creative, and emerging model whose work bridges community empowerment, media, and storytelling. A proud Detroit native and the first openly transgender woman to graduate from her HBCU — Harris-Stowe State University, in St. Louis, MO. Amariah brings lived experience, cultural insight, and visionary leadership to everything she does. She previously served as Communications and Creative Director at Transformations, a Black- and trans-led organization where she led narrative campaigns centering trans resilience and liberation. Amariah has hosted powerful conversations through platforms like Hey Sis Live, elevating voices like Ts Madison and Monica Beverly Hillz, and has been featured in local magazines for her trailblazing work in the Midwest. With a strong love for fashion and a commitment to authentic expression, she merges advocacy with aesthetic in bold, unapologetic ways. Whether leading summits, archiving community stories, or walking the runway, Amariah is committed to creating space for Black trans women to thrive—not just survive.
